The 8th Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Asia Pacific regional final round results were announced at the ASEAN headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia. Team Bangladesh secured Third Place in the Network Track of the final round. The team members are Shuvam Agarwala (CSE 18, RUET), Rakesh Kar (CSE 19, RUET), and Mazhar, with Md. Azmain Yakin Srizon (Assistant Professor, CSE RUET) is their instructor. This achievement has qualified them to participate in the global final round of the competition, to be held in China in May. This marks the first time in the past eight years that any university from Bangladesh (RUET) has placed in the finals of the Asia Pacific region and will compete at the global level. Representing RUET and Bangladesh on this international stage fills them and us with pride. They humbly ask for prayers that they continue to perform well in the global round.
